ITAG/SAGE has been active in supporting new legislation for gifted and talented students. Its support lead to passage of a mandate for service to gifted/talented students in Idaho public schools. We regularly provide information on legislative issues to our members and other interested parties. We encourage constituent contact with legislators in support of legislation to further gifted and talented education in our state.
ITAG/SAGE helps organize and participates in an annual CEC/TAG conference in beautiful Sun Valley to further teacher and parent understanding of issues facing gifted and talented students. This conference provides educators with tools and techniques to teach gifted and talented students more effectively and provides parents with knowledge to help them better meet their children’s needs.
